Online launch of budget-friendly tips and substitutions to make your traditional Sunday meals healthier for your family.

 

Community Health Panel (Talanoa Series)

Hear individual stories of healthy lifestyle journeys from Biggest Loser contestants Sione and Filipe Fa, and join the discussion on how we move forward to create a healthier Pacific Islander community in Utah.

Early Morning Zumba (EMZ)

Free, fun dance-based workout to get your morning started off energized.

Pacific Islander Family Day at the Sorenson Rec Center

Free admission for Pacific Islander Health Week participants. Enjoy swimming, boxing, fitness equipment all day!

Online launch of resources for Pacific Islander mothers and expecting mothers.

World Diabetes Day (Utah Department of Health)

Press conference highlighting the serious impact of diabetes on Pacific Islander families,  featuring Malialole drummers and a march to the Governor’s mansion to raise awareness.

Great American Smokeout (Queen Center, Island Teens Against Tobacco)

Join us in distributing “quit kits” and empowering our community against the negative

community safe by learning how to do CPR and be prepared for emergencies.

MANA Challenge Finale (Queen Center, UDOH Diabetes Program)

Final weigh-in for 33 contestants of the 4th season of the MANA Challenge fitness program; winner of cash prizes will be determined and announced by the end of the day.
