Kaha Nui Polynesian Interdisciplinary Summit

The Summit will highlight, showcase, and share interdisciplinary expertise, academic work, and professional knowledge of Polynesian individuals with other professionals, scholars, students, and community members across the state of Utah and surrounding areas.
The day will start out with keynote speaker, Keoni Kauwe, PhD, titled, “Success, Pride, and Polynesians.” Kauwe is an internationally recognized researcher specializing in Alzheimer’s disease genetics. For his full bio, click here.
Following the keynote speaker, sessions will allow participants to attend presentations that interest them. There are three session categories:
Professional Session–This session will include a speaker selected from a variety of disciplines and professions, including business, athletics, government, law, medicine, engineering, psychology, social work, etc.
Student Session–College students are invited to attend various sessions by scholars and professors related to achievement and success in higher education.
Academic/Scholarly Session–This session will include a researcher, scholar, professor, or teacher/educator selected from a variety of disciplines: business, athletics, family life, health, humanities, government, law, medicine, engineering, mental health fields, education, etc.
The annual BYU Luau will be held during the evening on the day of the conference.
